Understand personal aims, interests and areas for growth through thoughtful guidance.
Turn aspirations into clear goals, practical routines and steady progress reviews.
Recognize strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges to make considered choices.
Counseling does not solve a cadet’s problems for them. It helps them build the spirit and confidence to face difficulties and work towards success. At DCA, counselors and the director, academy, teachers and wardens support cadets in setting goals and making a systematic plan.
Expert counselors and psychologists interview each cadet to understand their family background, living situation, interests, aspirations and aims. The academy helps set goals, reviews progress at intervals and prepares a daily routine so cadets can work steadily towards those goals.
Cadets reflect on their strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This self-assessment helps them identify areas to improve, consider choices and directions, set priorities, and adjust their plans when circumstances or better opportunities change.
