To impart quality education and prepare the cadets to join the Defence Services.

Goals for cadet growth and development

Defence Career Academy works to support cadets’ academic growth, leadership, confidence, responsibility and preparation for future careers.

DCA’s published goal is to prepare one thousand officers and ten thousand soldiers by 2030.

Support students who aspire to become officers, doctors or engineers in defence services and equivalent careers in the Merchant Navy and Civil Aviation.
Use group discussions and debates to develop leadership, physical stamina, mental alertness, resilience, broad outlook and self-confidence.
Combine systematic study, practical learning, coaching, training and extracurricular activities with preparation for competitive examinations.

The academy’s stated goal is to continue this work with determination and support cadets as they prepare for future study and careers.
